MS Sheets

Buy Premium Quality MS Sheets at Ferrite Structural Steels Pvt Ltd. – India’s Leading Manufacturer, Supplier, Exporter and Distributor of Steel Bars.

Mild steel is a type of steel that has a low-carbon alloy, derived from carbon steel. It is made by combining a low amount of chromium and molybdenum with low carbon. Because of the low carbon content, mild steel is more weldable and ductile than carbon steel. Mild steel is magnetic and contains a high amount of ferrite and iron. It has various desirable characteristics, such as affordability, ease of welding, and machinability. MS sheet is particularly useful in corrosive environments, as they offer excellent corrosion resistance properties. They provide high resistance to nitric and chloride corrosion in sulfide solutions. Mild steel can be easily worked at high temperatures and shows excellent resistance to chloride crossing and cracking stress.

Ferrite Structural Steels Pvt. Ltd. is a highly reputable manufacturer, supplier, and stockist of superior quality Mild Steel Sheets, HR sheets, CR Sheets, High Strength Low Alloy sheets, Galvanised Sheets, Colour Coated Sheets & Mild Steel Perforated sheets in Mumbai, India. We are a well-known MS sheet supplier in Mumbai, catering to customers worldwide. Our products are manufactured in compliance with all relevant standards and specifications, including various types of mild steel sheets. Furthermore, we tailor our production to meet our customers’ specific requirements. Before delivering the mild steel sheets, we conduct various tests, such as mechanical tests, chemical tests, toughness tests, eddy current tests, impact tests, micro tests, flaring tests, and flattening tests.

Different Types of MS Sheets

HR Sheets (Hot Rolled Sheets)

HR Sheets are produced by rolling the steel at high temperatures, which is above the recrystallization temperature of the steel. This process allows HR Sheets to be formed into much larger sizes and is simpler, making them less expensive than other kinds of steel sheets.

CR Sheets (Cold Rolled Sheets)

CR Sheets are formed by rolling steel in a cold reduction mill and annealing (heating) it slightly above room temperature. This extra processing step results in a sheet that is more dimensionally accurate, has a smoother surface finish, and a greater range of mechanical properties than HR Sheets.

High Strength Low Alloy (HSLA) Sheets

HSLA Sheets are a type of carbon steel that contains small amounts of alloying elements to increase the steel’s strength and formability compared to other types of carbon steel.

Galvanized Sheets

Galvanized Sheets are carbon steel sheets coated with zinc on both sides by a continuous hot-dip process. This layer of zinc enhances the corrosion resistance of the iron base, making it ideal for applications in exterior architectural products, electrical boxes, and other environments exposed to moisture.

Colour Coated Sheets

Colour Coated Sheets are sheets of steel coated with a layer of paint on one or both sides. Commonly used in the external cladding of buildings, they are also used in interior applications and signage.

Mild Steel Perforated Sheets

Mild Steel Perforated Sheets are made of mild steel and feature various patterns of holes. These holes can be round, square, or a more complex design, depending on the application’s requirements.

Standards and Grades

S275JR Sheets

S275JR is a non-alloy structural steel grade specified in EN 10025-2. It has a minimum yield strength of 275 N/mm² and is used in general construction applications, such as bridges and buildings, due to its excellent weldability and good impact resistance.

S355J2 Sheets

S355J2 is a high-strength, low-alloy structural steel with a minimum yield strength of 355 N/mm². It is specified in EN 10025-2 and is known for its good impact resistance even at low temperatures. S355J2 is commonly used in structural applications that require greater strength and durability, such as bridges, cranes, and offshore structures.

ASTM A36 Sheet

ASTM A36 is a standard specification for carbon structural steel. It has a minimum yield strength of 36,000 psi (250 MPa) and is known for its ductility and weldability. A36 sheets are used in construction, fabrication, and repair projects, including building frames and bridges.

IS 2062 E250 BR

IS 2062 E250 BR is an Indian standard specification for hot rolled medium and high tensile structural steel. It has a minimum yield strength of 250 MPa and is used in general structural applications such as buildings, bridges, and industrial structures due to its good weldability and machinability.

IS 2062 E250A

IS 2062 E250A is another grade under the IS 2062 standard for hot rolled medium and high tensile structural steel. It also has a minimum yield strength of 250 MPa, similar to E250 BR, but it is designed for applications where better formability and weldability are required.

IS 2062 E250BO

IS 2062 E250BO is a grade within the IS 2062 standard, featuring a minimum yield strength of 250 MPa. This grade is known for its good welding properties and is often used in structures that require good machinability and strength.

EN 10025 S275JR

EN 10025 S275JR is a non-alloy structural steel grade with a minimum yield strength of 275 N/mm². It is similar to S275JR specified in EN 10025-2 and is widely used in construction and engineering applications for its good weldability and impact resistance.
